SanDisk launches Extreme PRO SSD and iNAND

SanDisk Corporation launched its new SanDisk Extreme PRO SSD, a drive exclusively designed for gamers, media professionals and enthusiast, who prefer to have consistent performance.

In a statement SanDisk Corporation said that the new series has the sequential read speeds of 550 megabytes/second (MB/s) and write speeds of up to 520 MB/s. The Extreme PRO, with its 1TB-Class capacity, loads and runs graphics intensive applications and game levels in an extra pace.

Kevin Conley, senior vice president, SanDisk, said, “With its ability to deliver consistently fast computing backed by the industry’s first 10 year limited warranty, the new series deliver the performance, reliability and value that professionals expects.”

Meanwhile, SanDisk launched iNAND Standard embedded flash drive, which is said to be a perfect storage solution for entry-level tablets and smart-phones in China and other major markets at Computex 2014. The new 1Y nanometer 3-bit-per-cell (X3) Nand flash storage solution enables original equipment manufacturers to quickly introduce new, affordable tablets and smart-phones with the performance of SanDisk storage.

SanDisk said that iNAND Standard is part of a full SanDisk portfolio of embedded solutions for the mobile market. Other iNAND products include iNAND Ultra and iNAND Extreme. iNAND solutions, available in EFDs and multi-chip-package (MCP) forms, provide tablets, smart-phones, e-Book readers, personal media players, and other connected devices with faster system responsiveness, improved multitasking, browsing performance and longer battery life.
