Ruckus Wireless to expand Indian presence

Ruckus Wireless is planning to add 15,000 sq. ft. of floor space in India to the current office located at Diamond District Building, Old Airport Road, Bangalore.

In addition, Ruckus Wireless is also planning to hire more staff. The company did not share targets to achieve the expansion of manpower and space.

Ruckus Wireless aims to work with more Indian enterprises and service providers to strengthen its Wi-Fi markets by expanding its technical team in its Bangalore office and expand office capacity to accommodate the new team.

“Since the company first established our technical support center in 2009, our technical support engineers have been assisting our value added partners and customers deploy and manage their Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi networks,” said Giri Iyer, vice president, Global Customer Support, Ruckus Wireless.

IDC, a top research agency, has ranked Ruckus Wireless as the third largest enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) vendor worldwide.

Dell ‘Oro group has ranked Ruckus Wireless as the number one vendor for service provider (carrier) Wi-Fi.

Ruckus Wireless has partnered with various governments and local authorities, including (in the U.S.) the City of San Jose, CA, the City/County of San Francisco, Lincoln, NE, Mountain View, CA; the City of Perth (Australia) and the City of York (UK), among many others.

Since entering the Indian market in 2008, Ruckus Wireless has deployed Smart Wi-Fi networks such as Delhi Metro, Delhi University, Lovely Professional University, Seven Hills Hospital, World Chess Championship, Hyatt Hotels and ITC Hotels.
