Ruckus Wireless announced the general availability of Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi.
This offering is a wireless local area network (WLAN) management-as-a-service powered by the new Ruckus public cloud platform.
Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi enables distributed organizations with limited IT resources to set up, monitor and manage a high-performance multi-site WLAN of any size.
“Customers shouldn’t have to sacrifice end user experience in order to reap the benefits of the cloud,” said Dan Rabinovitsj, chief operating officer, Ruckus Wireless Business Unit, Brocade.
“They also shouldn’t have to be locked into a single architecture—if they need to change, their APs should change with them,” Rabinovitsj added.
In June, Ruckus Wireless has been selected as the preferred Wi-Fi partner by AccorHotels. Through the collaboration, Ruckus will update AccorHotels’ Wi-Fi technology and infrastructure to help ensure high performance for both customers and hotels, enable future developments, and intensify the strength of AccorHotel’s digital services.
In May, Ruckus Wireless become part of Brocade for approximately $1.5 billion. Brocade says this acquisition represents an important step in its strategic vision to build a networking company that supports the rapidly evolving requirements of the digital transformation era.
