R&M launches Cat. 6A EL connection module in India

R&M, a provider of cabling solutions, has launched a new Cat. 6A EL (Easy Lock) Module in India – featuring a newly developed compensation function for optimized signal transmission.

The cabling company launched the Cat.6A EL module in September last year in select global markets.

The company said the Cat. 6A EL module plays an important role where simple installations are required and when the permanent link has to deliver high performance conforming to standards.

The wire guide and the jack with wiring cover are the two parts of the new module and the jack can be mounted without any special tools. R&M said insulation displacement terminals contact the cables automatically when the cover is closed.

The company said that it has an integrated half clamp which provides strain relief, securing all types of cable without squeezing them and the half clamp establishes the shielding contact at the same time with shielded cabling solutions (STP).

The procedures for wiring and installing the RJ45 module can be carried out quickly which enables local data network to be operated with 10 Gigabit Ethernet, which is 1000 times faster than data traffic.

The RJ45 jack fulfills the component specifications according to IEC 60603-7-41/-51.

The construction of permanent links and Class EA channels according to ISO/IEC 11801 is done with RJ45.

Cat. 6A EL is compatible with the modular R&M freenet cabling system, R&M security systems and the R&M inteliPhy infrastructure management system.

Swiss cabling specialist’s new module fulfills requirements for high-frequency data transmission and for network operation with 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

“Cat. 6A EL was developed with the aim of significantly simplifying installation in the area that usually takes the most work: connecting the RJ45 modules in high-rise buildings,” said Gaurav Ahluwalia, managing director at R&M India.

Last month, the Basel headquarters of the US chemical group Huntsman and the Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie (CPAM) in Calais deployed Cat. 6A EL connection module.
