Riverbed Technology today announced that Cecil Perez has joined the company as vice president, Latin America Sales.
Perez is responsible for sales strategy and execution in Latin America, and helping Riverbed to drive the next phase of growth in the region.
Earlier, Perez worked with several IT companies including Symantec, Check Point Software, Apple and Microsoft.
Perez joins Riverbed from Check Point Software Technologies where he was vice president of Latin America and the lead regional sales executive responsible for all field operations. He opened sales offices in Chile, Colombia and Central America and achieved significant regional growth during his tenure.
Prior to Check Point, Perez was vice president at Symantec where he held positions as vice president of Mid Marketing Channel Sales, as well as vice president of Sales and Marketing for Latin America. Under his leadership, Symantec Latin America grew revenues consistently, captured market share in the Enterprise Security space, and was considered the leading Security Software provider.
Prior to joining Symantec, Perez was international product manager for Internet and Mobile Computing at Apple Computer and reseller marketing representative for Reseller Channels at Microsoft where he was responsible for the Consumer Business in the Southeast Region of the United States.
