Riverbed launches SteelCentral Portal to manage application performance in hybrid IT environments

Riverbed technology has launched Riverbed SteelCentral Portal to manage application performance in hybrid IT environments.

The company will blend performance information from network, end user experience, and application domains into a simple source of truth for end-to-end application visibility.

SteelCentral Portal gives each stakeholder a customizable graphical dashboard with the most complete and relevant information.

Company said, all the required information will be provided by SteelCentral Portal in a single screen and can drill down into specific performance information.

SteelCentral Portal brings a new approach to problem-solving with a holistic operational view of the complete IT environment.

SteelCentral Portal blends data from all relevant sources into a single, actionable source of truth for stakeholders, with easy to view graphical interfaces and application maps.

The new Portal helps IT teams to discover and rapidly generate a dynamic service map which reduces the time and effort needed to develop and implement a reporting framework.

Administrators determine the information needed and SteelCentral Portal automatically curates different workflows based on available data sources.

IT teams can look across their network and view both non-optimized and optimized traffic, with SteelHead appliances integrated with AppResponse or NetProfiler.

Riverbed SteelCentral is part of the Riverbed Application Performance Platform which gives CIOs end-to-end application visibility, optimization and control, across the entire enterprise.

“With the launch of Riverbed’s groundbreaking new visibility solution, SteelCentral Portal, enterprise teams now have a robust, shared, easy-to-use view of end-to-end application performance,” said Mike Sargent, senior vice president and general manager of SteelCentral at Riverbed.

Few days ago Riverbed announced Lathrop & Gage, a law firm in the United States, is utilizing Riverbed Application Performance Platform solutions and increased network capacity by 200 percent to 300 percent.

In January, ABB announced they are using Riverbed SteelCentral solutions and Riverbed Professional Services to ensure the peak performance of applications.
