RGB Networks to tap Indian VSPs with multi-screen IP video delivery products

RGB Networks will showcase its multiscreen IP video delivery solutions to Indian video service providers (VSPs) at Convergence India show next week.

The solutions helps VSPs deliver new multiscreen services, generate new revenues through multiscreen advertising insertion and take advantage of the Cloud to offer personal video recorder (PVR) services to their subscribers.

The Indian multichannel video market is growing quickly as VSPs strive to offer more services to their subscribers. Their services include live and on-demand programming, expanding channel line-ups and multiscreen delivery to TVs, PCs and mobile devices.

VSPs are also eager to generate more ad revenue through the delivery of increasingly targeted ads to their subscribers.

“Indian video service providers can benefit from our unmatched expertise in helping some of the world’s largest VSPs launch – and expand – their multiscreen TV Everywhere services,” said Simone Sassoli, vice president of Marketing and Business Development at RGB Networks.

“We have developed our award-winning line of multiscreen delivery solutions specifically to help VSPs quickly launch, expand, streamline and monetize their multiscreen deployments for the maximum return-on-investment,” Sassoli added.

At Convergence India, RGB will showcase its Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG), a high density transcoding platform that supports the PAL standard to enable delivery of hundreds of digital channels with outstanding picture quality.

RGB will also demonstrate its new CloudXtream nPVR, the company’s next-generation, cloud-based network personal video recorder (nPVR) solution for VSPs. CloudXtream nPVR enables VSPs to deploy an end-to-end nPVR solution in their own datacenter, hosted private cloud or public cloud.

The demonstration will also show how RGB’s Ad Insertion for Multiscreen (AIM) solution enables them to migrate to a proven model for monetizing video services in the multiscreen environment.
