Retail chain Group Dynamite deploys Oracle Retail to drive efficiency

Oracle retail for CIOsRetail chain Group Dynamite has deployed Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning Cloud Service to drive efficiency and productivity.

Groupe Dynamite, a Montreal-based company, will use Oracle Retail solutions to drive inventory performance, configure the interface to infuse data science into assortment prioritization, while supporting open-to-buy processes.

Groupe Dynamite delivers creative and fresh merchandising to drive customer engagement across multiple touch points. Groupe Dynamite operates more than 400 stores and online shopping experiences in 10 countries and employs more than 6,000 people with brands Garage and Dynamite.

The retail chain selected Oracle because of its current process and incumbent solution required an assortment planning process that was time consuming and cumbersome.

“By shifting to Oracle Retail, we are empowering our teams with an intuitive and modern interface, and a holistic planning solution that provides store level detail and allows us to make more strategic merchandise decisions,” said Julie Fillion, senior director of Planning, Groupe Dynamite.

Sylvain Duval, chief operating officer of Groupe Dynamite, said the deployment of Oracle Retail Merchandising Financial Planning Cloud Service took three months. The retail chain will deploy Oracle Retail Assortment Planning Cloud Service in the next phase.

In 2011, Groupe Dynamite launched fast fashion women’s apparel retailer brands Garage and Dynamite in the U.S. supported by Oracle Commerce solutions. In 2014, Groupe Dynamite deployed Oracle Retail Merchandising, Stores and Financial Inventory Management solutions to accelerate international expansion with a single view of inventory.

“Our Oracle Retail Planning Cloud Services offer solutions that enable retailers to drive profitability and remain flexible to the changing retail environment,” said Ray Carlin, senior vice president at Oracle Retail.
