Infotech Lead Asia: Polycom on Tuesday said Cairn India has deployed Polycom RealPresence video collaboration solutions to enable connectivity with project sites, offshore oil rigs and customers overseas.
India’s second largest crude oil producer is currently utilizing the HD audio and video technology to speed up decision-making process and improve team meeting experiences throughout the company.
In fact, Polycom RealPresence video collaboration has become a vital alternative to Cairn India’s travel needs.
Cairn India selected Polycom video solutions to improve collaboration with its team members who are present in most remote locations in India and overseas.
As part of the new IT deployment, Cairn India utilized Polycom video collaboration solutions, including the Polycom HDX 8000 room system and a Polycom RealPresence Immersive solution.
Connecting Cairn India’s head office in Gurgaon, New Delhi, and various operational sites across the country, the company could enhance its existing UC environment and collaboration capabilities.
“Polycom video collaboration solutions interoperate with the industry’s broadest range of communications platforms and applications,” said Alok Anand, marketing head, India & SAARC, Polycom.
Meanwhile, Cairn India is planning to implement Polycom RealPresence video collaboration solutions on mobile and tablet devices for senior management and sales teams, for business continuity, customer relationship management and remote inspection purposes.
