Polycom RealPresence Clariti software launched

Polycom introduces Polycom RealPresence Clariti
Polycom on Wednesday introduced Polycom RealPresence Clariti, a collaboration infrastructure software, targeting both small and large enterprises.

The video conferencing major is offering the Polycom RealPresence Clariti software through licensing model that now includes subscription and perpetual, models. Enterprise customers can deploy the RealPresence Clariti solution, including on-premises, through hybrid or hosted Internet as a Service (IaaS) offerings from partners, or directly in their own cloud networks.

The company will be offering the Polycom RealPresence Clariti collaboration infrastructure software in the first quarter of 2016.

The RealPresence Clariti software solution includes Polycom RealConnect capability, allowing both Skype for Business users and those who use other platforms to connect without altering each native experience.

Ashan Willy, senior vice president, Product Management & Worldwide Systems Engineering, Polycom, said: “The RealPresence Clariti solution is a simple, easy-to-use collaboration software that provides cloud economics, cloud deployment options, and cloud hybrid capabilities to Polycom’s powerful infrastructure suite.”

The video conferencing major claims that the RealPresence Clariti software is the first collaboration infrastructure software solution to offer hybrid cloud bursting, an IaaS offering, as an optional cloud service to ensure a seamless connection during spikes in video collaboration usage.

Polycom is announcing the expanded support for developers to extend capabilities with the new Polycom Sandbox. This virtual lab will provide access to Polycom’s APIs and SDKs for partners, ISVs, and customers. Polycom Sandbox will be available in the first half of 2016 on the Polycom developer page.

Cloud Burst Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) will be available in North America in second quarter 2016, with worldwide availability to follow, said Polycom.
