Orange Video Meeting app enables access to video meetings via tablet or mobile devices

Infotech Lead America: Orange Business Services launched the Orange Video Meeting mobile application which enables tablets and mobile devices to access its cloud-based Open Videopresence.
The Orange Video Meeting app is available for Android and Apple devices. Powered by Scopia Mobile technology from Radvision, an Avaya Company, it enables attendees to actively participate in videoconferencing sessions initiated through Orange Business Services’ Open Videopresence.Scopia Mobile is the industry’s first standards-based mobile video application to enable HD videoconferencing.

Orange Video Meeting can be downloaded for free onto to a mobile device or tablet from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Users can then easily join a videoconferencing session by clicking an e-mail link or through a mobile device calendar invitation. The smart URL will detect the device and open the appropriate application to join the conference.

Open Videopresence is currently available in 107 countries. It allows meetings to combine equipment from the market’s major vendors, including various types of videoconference rooms, desktops and possibly telepresence rooms, on any network. PC and Mac access use the Scopia Desktop light and full-featured conferencing client from Radvision.

Using Orange Video Meeting enables users to fully participate through their personal or professional mobile device or tablet just as they would at their desktops. Scopia Mobile technology is embedded in Orange Video Meeting to enable participants to fully collaborate with audio, HD video and data sharing. Moderators can directly control and manage conferences from their mobile devices, just like they could do in a conference room or at their desktop.

In September 2012, Orange Business Services commissioned a state-of-the-art data center for Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL), the state-owned power generating utility in Himachal Pradesh. The data center, managed by Orange for five years, will facilitate the rollout of SAP applications and services at HPPCL.
