Orange Business acquires Atheos to enhance security services

Enterprise communications vendor Orange Business Services has acquired Atheos to enhance its security services.

The acquisition of Atheos enables Orange Business Services to become the largest European cyber defense company.

Founded in 2002, Atheos is a pioneer of IT identity and security management on the French market. With 130 experts in cybersecurity, Atheos works with large French businesses to define, implement, and control their security strategies.

With Orange’s eight Security Operations Centers (SOC) around the world, Orange Business Services monitor infrastructure and clients 24/7.

The acquisition will enable Orange Business Services to strengthen its offering by addressing two key requirements.

“We are now the only European provider able to support companies implementing multidimensional protection strategies, and this significantly reinforces our commitment to customers to support them in the digital world,” said Thierry Bonhomme, senior executive vice president, Orange Business Services.
