Orange acquired desktop virtualization integration service provider Log’in Consultants, a subsidiary of the Log’in International group.
Orange has not provided the financial details of the acquisition.
Founded in 2002, Log’in Consultants consists of three entities located in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, which offer VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) consultancy and infrastructure management services to companies of all sizes.
Orange said desktop virtualization is becoming a key issue for companies looking for more efficiency in an increasingly mobile environment.
It provides users with “virtualized” network access to their desktop from any device (PC, tablet, smartphone) with the help of an internet connection.
Commenting on the acquisition,Orange Business Services CEO Thierry Bonhomme said, “It was essential for us to strengthen our teams and our integration capabilities in this field. We are now able to meet the growing demands of our European multinational customers.”
Most recently, Merck, a science and technology company in healthcare, life science and performance materials, has deployed a 200-site, next-generation network to support its digital transformation with the help of Orange Business Services.
Last month, Orange Business Services signed a network and security deal with consumer and industrial goods manufacturer Henkel.
