Oracle has appointed HP veteran David Donatelli as executive vice president, Converged Infrastructure.
Donatelli will be reporting directly to Oracle CEO Mark Hurd. The main responsibility of Donatelli at Oracle will include infrastructure offerings including the company’s engineered systems, server, storage, networking and tape products. This apart, he will help in responding to customer demand for Oracle’s hardware solutions that operate in a hybrid cloud environment.
Most recently, Donatelli served as executive vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett-Packard, responsible for the enterprise hardware business, which includes storage, server, networking and converged infrastructure solutions.
