NTT Com’s new PoP in Marseille

NTT communications

NTT Group announced Monday that it will expand its Tier-1 Global IP Network with a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Marseille, France.

Marseille is the interconnection point for eight international subsea cables that link Europe to Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

NTT Com’s new PoP in Marseille will facilitate the delivery of reliable, high-quality wholesale IP services between these high-growth markets and Europe.

Further, NTT said the new PoP is located at a major carrier-neutral facility, Interxion’s data center MRS1, which houses a community of over 70 connectivity providers.

“This PoP will allow NTT Com to serve not only new customers but also existing customers in other parts of the world looking to expand and add services in fast-growing markets in Africa, the Middle East and Asia,”  said Clive Hamilton, Vice President of Network Services at NTT Europe.

NTT Com is one of the top two global wholesale IP providers and the number one provider in Asia according to the latest Dyn Wholesale Rankings.

The company’s fully redundant Tier-1 Global IP Network is consistently ranked among the top networks worldwide.
