Interop 2015 – held from 27 April to 1 May 2015 at Las Vegas – was one of the main IT events to see several announcements.
Technology companies such as Dell, Cisco, VMware, HP, 10Gtek, Apposite Technologies, AIC, Huawei Technologies, Cavium, Akamai Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Solutions, NEC Corporation of America, Ruckus Wireless and many more participated in the event.

Ruckus Wireless has deployed and operated a Smart Wi-Fi wireless network based on Wave 2 features of the 802.11ac standard at Interpol to ensure seamless connectivity to participants. It also exhibited its latest Smart Wi-Fi products and technology, including the new ZoneFlex R710 access point.
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Solutions and NEC together demonstrated capabilities for operating, managing automating networks via Software Defined Networking (SDN). InteropNET SDN Lab was designed as an educational resource for the IT community to demonstrate features, functions and principles of SDN.
Akamai showcased its enterprise application delivery and Web experience optimization expertise. Besides demonstrating Web performance solution, cloud networking solutions and cloud security solutions, Akamai demonstrated how its technology and solutions can address the unique challenges of delivering applications over the Internet. Akamai designed a solution with Cisco to accelerate HTTP/S applications, video and content while maximizing enterprise network bandwidth.
Cavium has showcased advanced SDN, NFV and security solutions for next generation enterprises, Cloud and telecom data centers. It showcased XPliant Ethernet switches, ThunderX and OCTEON processors, LiquidIO adapters and the new LiquidSecurity Hardware Security Modules.
Huawei, a Chinese IT vendor, showcased its enterprise solutions portfolio, including data center, software-defined networking (SDN), and eLTE solutions, at Interop. Huawei highlighted switching and routing portfolio, progress in key technologies initiative and company’s leadership in the Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard.
Huawei announced Hula Networks, Aspire Global Solutions and Nitech joined its enterprise Channel Partner Program at Interop. Hula Networks offered Huawei Enterprise solutions, including its routers and eLTE for broadband trunking, voice, and video services.
Aspire reselled Huawei’s networking, storage, server, security, eLTE and unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) solutions. Also, Nitech offered Huawei’s enterprise storage and data center infrastructure solutions.
This apart, Huawei showcased its eLTE Broadband Trunking solution, Agile Wide Area Network (WAN) solution, OceanStor 9000, and next generation Anti-Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) solution at the CeBIT 2015 in Germany.
Lantronix demonstrated its SLC 8000 advanced modular console manager for secure out of brand management and several other IT solutions. The company showcased the Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) feature on the SLC 8000, which allows automated provisioning of configuration using the network.
7signal, a Wi-Fi performance company, featured its Sapphire Eye sensors and Wi-Fi software analytics at INTEROP to monitor, track and trend the Wi-Fi experience. 7signal performed the service in conjunction with InteropNet, which provides high-speed network connectivity to the Interop attendees and exhibitors.
Meanwhile, Narra Systems announced enhancements to its nFast (Full Automation System Testing) platform to include nDNA (Discover Node Attricutes) at Interop 2015. nDNA enhanced Narra’s nFast platform by enabling lab personnel to test particular device features or attributes vis-a-vis scouring an organization’s cloud environment to learn configurations/parameters and promote dynamic asset management and tracking.
Additionally, TSO Logic at Interop provided demonstrations of its technology and was selected as a premier provider for Interop volunteer run network that provides high speed network connectivity to Interop attendees. Bu utilizing the Interop SDN Lab infrastructure, TSO Logic demonstrated how its software interfaces with orchestration across multiple locations.
Ipanema Technologies released DWS, its Dynamic WAN Selection to offer application performance guarantee, together with VPN tunneling and OS-level firewall capabilities which removes the need for enterprises to have additional firewall devices at every branch of their organization.
