Infotech Lead America: NetSocket announced its collaboration with Microsoft to fully implement the Microsoft Lync Network Diagnostics API for Lync 2013 and 2010 environments.
The latest version of Netsocket’s Cloud Experience Manager (CEM) delivers comprehensive, real-time visibility into IP network issues so that UC managers can anticipate, isolate and remediate network-based UC problems. NetSocket CEM lowers total cost of ownership (TCO) by reducing problem resolution time by more than 70 percent.
NetSocket’s patented IP Correlation Engine (ICE) captures and correlates network behavior in real time on any size network and across multiple vendors to provide a trouble-free UC experience, ensuring higher IP network session quality and lower support costs. It fully supports the Microsoft Lync Network Diagnostics API. ICE is a new Microsoft Lync real-time service assurance API which provides real-time, hop-by-hop IP topology path identification and recording of all media streams for all Lync voice and video calls.
CEM aims at providing a better cloud experience for voice, video and data communications to private enterprises as well as service providers. CEM provides IP network information, content and topology data so IT support staff can correlate a user’s complaint to the likely root cause of service degradation more accurately and faster with the real-time identification of specific route paths for each call.
UC managers can get immediate insight into the underlying IP networks that support Microsoft Lync environments, eliminating the need for costly probes throughout the network. Also, the performance of all UC elements will no longer be burdened with post-event diagnostics traces.
CEM’s UC service assurance management interface provides proactive network service management through a single-pane-of-glass view. IT support personnel can execute diagnostic workflows for service complaints immediately, without requiring a higher level of expert resources. CEM supports manager-of-manager applications like Microsoft System Center to deliver key performance indicator alerts and other service-related data to unified management solutions.
Earlier this year, NetSocket’s Cloud Experience Manager was qualified as an ISV in Microsoft’s Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program for Lync Communications Server.
