NETGEAR offers Lifetime Technical Support to customers

Enterprise networking vendor NETGEAR today said it started offering Lifetime Technical Support to its customers.

The new initiative is part of NETGEAR’s plan to expand warranty and customer support coverage for many of its products including the ProSAFE switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points, as well as for ReadyNAS and ReadyDATA storage products.

The networking vendor is offering Next Business Day Shipping coverage that aligns with the full length of its hardware warranties on business products. As part of this program, the ProSAFE switching, wireless and firewall products with Lifetime Hardware Warranties will now receive Lifetime Next Business Day Shipping.

ReadyNAS and ReadyDATA storage products that already offer 5-Year Limited Hardware Warranty will now include 5-Year Next Business Day Shipping coverage.

This streamlined policy will save time and make things easier for customers and resellers, said NETGEAR in a statement.

John McHugh, senior vice president and general manager for NETGEAR Commercial Business Unit, said: “We want to make it as simple as possible for them to install and use our products, whenever they need assistance and no matter the time zone. Our new warranty policy offers our customers a crystal-clear view of how we are here to help them.”

NETGEAR is also enhancing the warranty policy it already offers for its storage products for businesses. In addition to the new 24×7 Lifetime Technical Support, customers will get 5-Year Next Business Day Shipping coverage that aligns with the existing 5-Year Limited Hardware Warranty.
