NetApp appoints Mark Bregman as CTO

NetApp has appointed Mark Bregman as chief technology officer (CTO) – responsible for strategy and innovation agenda in support of the Data Fabric.

Most recently he was CTO of machine-learning start-up SkywriterRX.

Bregman, who has more than 30 years of technology experience, has held C-level and management roles for Neustar, Veritas, AirMedia, Symantec and IBM.

Mark will work with NetApp’s Advanced Technology Group anticipating and capitalizing on new and emerging trends.

Since 2009, he has served as a director of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology. He also serves on the boards of the Bay Area Science and Innovation Consortium, ShoreTel and SkywriterRX.
