NetApp has appointed Brocade executive Bill Lipsin as the new vice president of Worldwide Channel Sales.
Prior to joining NetApp, he was vice president of Global Channels and Systems Integrators at Brocade. He also held leadership positions at Arbor Networks, CA Technologies, and IBM, and he served as CEO of two companies.
Lipsin, who will be reporting to Thomas Stanley, senior vice president, Global Partner Sales and Alliances, will oversee NetApp’s channel strategy with a focus on maximizing the value of partnering with NetApp.
NetApp will kick off investments to improve partner profitability and increase NetApp marketing and partner engagement. Partner program investments include doubling of partner marketing resources and expanding demand- and lead-generation initiatives to boost adoption of the NetApp clustered Data ONTAP operating system.
