Molex European Holdings has purchased the heavy-duty connector business of Westec in order to expand its connector offering.
The company did not share financial details.
Westec portfolio will get aligned with Molex robust Brad Power and MicroChange M12 Interconnect Solutions, simplifying machine builder design, installation and maintenance processes.
The acquisition will enable Molex to benefit from Westec technical expertise in the automation and commercial sectors accompanied with competitive lead times.
Westec manufactures over 6,000 products that include junction boxes, multi-pole connectors, and connector assemblies designed for automation, robotics, etc.
