Mobile SaaS market will be $20.9 billion in 2016

Corporate mobile SaaS is predicted to go from $4.4 billion in 2016 to $7.4 billion in 2021, at a CAGR of 11 percent, said Strategy Analytics.

SMB mobile SaaS will grow from a $16.5 billion in 2016 market to $30.5 billion by 2021, at a CAGR of 13.1 percent.

“Small and medium sized businesses are leading the leap to the cloud as they look for applications that will enable their business to scale for rapid growth and to reduce the need for internal IT resources,” said Andrew Brown, executive director, Enterprise Research, Strategy Analytics.

64 percent of small and medium businesses depend on cloud-based technology to drive growth and boost workflow efficiency, according to research from BSCG. Also, 78 percent of businesses are under expansion plans to up the number of SaaS platforms over the next three years, such that the average number of applications used rise from three to seven.

The number of mobile users and devices will go up in enterprises with SaaS applications offering value to end users with simple setup and collaboration capabilities altering organizational business methods, as per forecasts titled “Global Corporate Mobile SaaS Forecast 2016-2022”, and “Global SMB Mobile SaaS Forecast 2016-2022”.

The need for flexibility, scale, and ease of deployment and use is driving adoption of SaaS to support mobile enterprise strategies. 1,400 new SaaS companies have come up in the last five years, added the research.
