LogMeIn IoT Platform drives Lutron’s Caseta Wireless solution

LogMeIn Xively Internet of Things (IoT) Platform is powering Lutron Electronics’ new Caseta Wireless solution that remotely connects users with their homes via a smartphone or tablet.

Lutron, a provider of energy-saving, wireless light and shade control, has hired LogMeIn Professional Services to build the Xively IoT Platform into its Caseta Wireless solution. Lutron Smart Bridge, a hub that connects and controls Lutron Caseta Wireless dimmers and Lutron Serena and select Sivoia QS remote-controlled shades, connects the customer’s home to a smartphone or tablet.

LogMeIn consultants used Heroku to develop remote connectivity in the Lutron mobile app, enabling consumers to control Lutron devices via the Smart Bridge from any iOS- or Android-based phone or tablet, from anywhere in the world.

“Internet of Things is about making things work better for customers. LogMeIn shares this vision and was instrumental in helping us deliver a reliable remote connection to Lutron’s connected home mobile experience,” said Matt Swatsky, Caseta Wireless product manager at Lutron.
