Lenovo in pact with Zenoss for x86 servers

Lenovo today said its x86 servers will come with Zenoss’ ZenPack plug-in to offer increased visibility into x86 server environments in virtualized, converged and cloud infrastructures.

Zenoss simplifies the management of large scale data center virtual and cloud environments by delivering a unified, real-time, and scalable service assurance solution that enhances the visibility into complex IT infrastructures.

The Zenoss Resource Manager, a software tool, establishes a services-oriented view into the IT infrastructure, and helps to isolate and resolve problems even in rapidly changing environments, said Lenovo.

Zenoss Resource platform and Lenovo x86 ZenPak plug-in will enable performance management and availability monitoring, event management, notification, and escalations in a single, intuitive, web-based interface.

“With this alliance, Lenovo and Zenoss are addressing customer requirements for unified monitoring and event management of cloud-based applications running on virtual and physical infrastructures,” said Kelly Beavers, vice president, Enterprise Business Group, Lenovo.
