Lenovo inks $3.5 mn x86 server deal with Fixnetix for a top bank

Lenovo today inked its $3.5 million deal to supply x86 server to Fixnetix for its managed services contract with a leading global bank.

The server deal will include 700 System x3650 M4 servers, upgraded maintenance and flexible financing, Lenovo said.

Featuring the latest Intel Xeon E5-2600 v2 series processors, the System x3650 M4 from Lenovo offers outstanding uptime and performance for business-critical workloads, including cloud computing, virtual desktop and business analytics.

Hugh Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer,  Fixnetix, said: “In particular, we found the System x solution very easy to service and manage and that, combined with a worldwide support model, makes System x a foundational platform for future phases of our project.”
