Lenovo delivers 1 mn workstations and servers from facility in Europe

Lenovo has achieved a significant milestone by producing and delivering one million workstations and servers from its first purpose-built manufacturing facility in Europe.
Lenovo HungaryThis facility, located in Budapest, Hungary, was inaugurated in June 2022 and has been catering to the server infrastructure, storage systems, and high-end PC workstation needs of customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

As of June 2023, the facility has served over 1,000 customers in 69 countries, experiencing a remarkable surge in both the scale and speed of its operations over the past year. It has also facilitated more than 180 customer visits, fostering greater collaboration, transparency, and understanding between Lenovo and its customers throughout the EMEA region.

Szabolcs Zolyomi, the Factory Site Leader at Lenovo, expressed the significance of the Hungary facility, stating, “Opening the Hungary facility was an important milestone for Lenovo, expanding our international manufacturing operations and holding substantial economic potential for both the private and public sectors in the country.”

Since its establishment, the facility has witnessed a 20 percent growth in its workforce, comprising individuals from 15 different nationalities. Lenovo’s efforts in Hungary have garnered recognition from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Trade, which honored the company with an award for creating the highest number of jobs in the country.

The Hungary facility is part of Lenovo’s manufacturing network, which encompasses 35 sites across eight markets. This extensive network serves customers in 180 markets worldwide, including countries like Argentina, Brazil, China, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, and the USA.
