Kroll appoints Wayne Peterson as CISO

Kroll, a provider of risk mitigation and response solutions, has appointed Wayne Peterson as chief information security officer (CISO).

Before joining Kroll, Peterson served as chief security officer (CSO) at Fidelity National Information Services, a provider of payment processing and banking solutions, with over 40,000 employees.

At FIS, Peterson managed cyber incident response team of 27 professionals around the world and was responsible for creating a cyber intelligence threat unit tasked with collecting, analyzing and fusing intelligence data to detect potential threats.

Throughout his 25-year career, he spearheaded risk management assignments and cyber crime investigations, as well as remediation and security initiatives, in complex, dynamic and high-stakes environments.

Peterson also partnered with U.S. federal and international law enforcement organizations, as well as industry peers engaged in cyber defense, to enhance overall industry preparedness levels.
