Juniper Networks third quarter revenues increase 6 percent to $1.19 billion

Juniper Networks on Tuesday said its third quarter revenue rose 6 percent to $1.19 billion.

Net income of Juniper Networks increased to $99 million in the third quarter from $17 million a year earlier.

Juniper Networks operating margin for the third quarter of 2013 increased to 12.2 percent from 3.8 percent in the third quarter of 2012 and was flat from 12.0 percent in the second quarter of 2013.

“We continue to see strong demand from our service provider customers and gain traction in the enterprise. It is evidence that our innovative and differentiated product portfolio is aligned with the needs of our customers as they look to build the best networks for their businesses,” said Kevin Johnson, chief executive officer of Juniper Networks.

Juniper Networks estimates that revenue for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2013 will be in the range of $1,200 million to $1,230 million. The networking company is concerned about the recent shut down in the U.S.
