Juniper Networks Q2 revenues up 7 percent to $1.15 billion

Juniper Networks Q2 revenues increased 7 percent to $1.15 billion.

Out of total revenue, product revenue was $863.8 million, while service revenue was $286.9 million.

Juniper’s operating margin increased to 12.0 percent from 8.1 percent.

The company’s net income rose to $98 million from $57.7 million.

Kevin Johnson, chief executive officer of Juniper Networks, said: “We continue to see signs of strength in our key markets and we are confident in our routing and switching portfolio. We are also seeing early signs of improving security demand.”

Juniper expects its routing and switching businesses to remain strong while the security business continues to stabilize.

The company expects its revenue for the third quarter ending September 30, 2013 to be in the range of $1.14 billion to $1.18 billion.
