Cloudistics, an enterprise cloud platform company, today announced the appointment of Jai Menon as its chief scientist.
Srinidhi Varadarajan is the chief technology officer and co-founder of Cloudistics.
Jai Menon earlier worked as CTO at both IBM and Dell. Jai Menon joined Dell in 2012 to develop its technical strategy, build alliances with industry partners and work with VCs and start-ups.
In addition, Jai Menon guided Dell Research from its formation in 2013 to develop organic innovation, work on collaborative research with leading universities, and create a technology outlook to help inform Dell and Dell Research strategy and projects.
“The company’s ground-breaking Ignite product is the first true software-defined everything cloud infrastructure that integrates network, storage, compute, virtualization, and management within a single platform,” said Jai Menon.
Prior to Dell, Jai Menon served as chief technology officer at IBM — setting the direction for 15,000 developers, driving new growth-oriented business initiatives and developed external alliances with industry partners, VCs and universities.
Jai Menon holds over 50 patents and was one of the company’s pioneers in developing RAID storage technology, an IBM Master Inventor and an IBM Fellow (IBM’s highest technical honor).
