Intex forays into security & surveillance market with the launch of CCTV cameras and DVRs

Intex Technologies, an Indian manufacturer of mobile phones and IT accessories, announced its foray into the security and surveillance solutions market with the launch of a range of CCTV cameras and digital video recorders (DVRs) targeted at enterprise customers.

The products will be available through Intex’s exclusive IT channel partners in North India. Further, Intex will expand the network by adding more distributors in the coming months, the company said.

Indian security and surveillance systems industry is currently about Rs 1,100 crore and is expected to reach Rs. 2200 crore by 2015, growing at 30 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR).

Intex focuses on developing products that aims at providing the best possible solutions to security issues faced by consumers on a daily basis, Intex officials said.

The newly launched products are designed to meet the emerging needs of the next generation security required by corporate, hospitality, healthcare, educational institutes and more, said Vikram Kalia, GM Product, Intex Technologies.

Intex CCTV camera

Intex CCTV cameras are equipped with Sony Super HAD-II CCD Sensor or DIS/HDIS Sensor which helps in capturing every little detail in surveillance recording appear sharper and clearer.

The product range comprises of Dome and Bullet cameras with 480 – 700 TVL. The 3-Axis movement present in dome cameras makes it easy to adjust the angle from a wall or ceiling to capture every corner of surroundings, the company said.

These cameras have an effective IR range up to 20-30 meters and are dust and weather proof allowing users to monitor all parts of the workplace or homes even under harsh conditions.

Intex also has high end range of PTZ camera with 30x Optical zoom and 12x Digital Zoom, IP Cameras with D1 and VGA resolution with 3G connectivity.

The DVR range comprises of 5 models. It provides 960H, D1 and CIF recording resolution formats and Pentaplex operation allows for live, multi-mode recording, multichannel playback, backup and remote access. The DVRs have maximum storage capacity of 2TB, and support of 1 HDD internally.

Intex has also introduced range of power supply for cameras which can power from 1 Night vision camera/2 Normal cameras to upto 3 night vision cameras/ 6 normal cameras.
