Intel India targets cloud and e-commerce cos with Xeon processors

Intel India announced its enhanced technologies and products for Indian enterprises including major cloud providers and e-commerce companies.

The latest technologies from Intel India allow enterprises to ensure easier adoption of clouds on Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI).

Intel India is offering x86 platform for software defined data center solutions to its customers in the country, including Intel Xeon E5 2600v4 processors with Intel Resource Director Technology and enhanced security feature.

Srinivas Tadigadapa, director of Enterprise Solutions, Intel South Asia, said: “Both cloud service providers and enterprises are looking at SDI as it would allow businesses to adopt new type of cloud easier and faster.”

Intel is offering technologies and products including 14 nm Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4 with Intel Resource Director Technology and enhanced security on workload isolation and faster cryptography.

Intel India has unveiled new solid state drives (SSDs) optimized for Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4, enterprise storage and cloud deployments. Intel SSD DC P3320 and P3520 Series are the first Intel SSDs to use one of the highest density 3D NAND technology to provide users with a highly efficient, dense storage solution.

Dell, a partner of Intel, will offer product and solutions based on Intel Xeon E5 2600v4 processors to enterprise customers.
