Intel, Dell fund Dell’s Internet of Things (IoT) Lab in Silicon Valley

Enterprise IT vendor Dell has opened its Internet of Things (IoT) Lab to assist customers to test and deploy IoT solutions.

Located in the Dell Silicon Valley Solution Center in Santa Clara, Calif. Dell IoT Lab demonstrates Dell’s expanding IoT solutions and service capabilities.

Intel and Dell OEM Solutions, a member of the Intel Internet of Things Solutions Alliance, will jointly fund the Dell IoT Lab.

Customers can demonstrate large workloads, connectivity, and data modeling and extraction on Dell solutions, including Dell storage as well as Dell PowerEdge servers and blade servers utilizing Dell Software solutions. Dell OEM customers can significantly speed up their time to market with new IoT solutions and devices.

Earlier this year, Dell and Intel, which are part of the Open Interconnect Consortium (OIC), decided to collaborate on IoT solutions for customer projects such as building automation for smart buildings.
