Ingram Micro hires new CIO

IT distributor Ingram Micro has appointed Ernest (Ernie) Park as senior executive vice president and chief information officer.

Park, who joins Ingram Micro from 3M Corporation, replaces Mario Leone, who left the company earlier this year.

During the search for a new CIO, the IT distributor’s information and business systems were handled by Nimesh Dave, its executive vice president, global business process and cloud computing. He continues his focus on driving productivity and efficiency across the business, while helping to position Ingram Micro in the Cloud.

Reporting to Ingram Micro chief executive officer Alain Monié, Park will be responsible for Ingram Micro’s information and business systems and will lead an information technology organization that supports hundreds of thousands of transactions per day through operations on five continents.

At 3M Corporation, Park was responsible for the corporate-wide information technology organizations supporting a leading diversified global technology company with operations in 72 countries and 85,000 employees.

Other companies, Park worked include Select Comfort Corporation, Maytag Corporation, AlliedSignal, Honeywell International, Avnet, etc.
