Infosys appoints BG Srinivas and UB Pravin Rao as presidents

Indian IT outsourcing vendor Infosys has appointed BG Srinivas and UB Pravin Rao as presidents.

Both of them will report to Infosys CEO SD Shibulal.

With immediate effect, they will be responsible for Infosys business portfolios.

BG Srinivas will focus on global markets, while Pravin Rao will be responsible for global delivery and service innovation.

Insurance, manufacturing, engineering services, energy and communications, Infosys Public Services, Infosys Lodestone, strategic Global sourcing, marketing and alliances will report to Srinivas.

Retail, consumer packaged goods and logistics, life sciences, resources and utilities, services, growth markets, cloud and mobility, quality and productivity and Infosys Leadership Institute will report to Pravin Rao.

In view of these changes, the Executive Council, decision-making powerhouse will cease to exist with effect from April 1, 2014.

Earlier, Infosys had inducted 12 new faces to its EC, increasing the number of members to 30.

Infosys CEO SD Shibulal said that these changes will further enhance our focus on deepening client relationships, increasingly market share, creating service differentiation through innovation and agility in execution.

The new organizational restructuring is happening at a time when Infosys is losing some of its key members.
