iGate CEO Ashok Vemuri resigns

IGATE CEO Ashok Vemuri
iGate CEO Ashok Vemuri has put in his papers, Capgemini which acquired the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Ashok Vemuri, CEO of IGATE, having successfully contributed to the transition process, leaves in a mutual agreement to pursue other interests outside of Capgemini,” Capgemini announced in a statement on its website.

There was wide speculation that Vemuri would move out when Capgemini bought iGate.

Capgemini chairman and CEO Paul Hermelin expressed his gratitude to Vemuri for making the acquisition process smooth and successful.

Vemuri remained as the CEO of iGate for a little over two years before which he spent 15 years with Infosys.
