Enterprise IT major IBM has launched a new IBM MobileFirst for iOS Garage in Bangalore, India — promising CIOs to make digital transformations on the Apple iOS platform.
The Garage — part of a network of centers at Atlanta, Cupertino, Toronto and Chicago — will assist CIOs of enterprise clients around the world to achieve mobile-led, digital transformations at speed and at scale on the iOS platform.
IBM also announced Mobile at Scale for iOS, a new offering specifically for clients looking to invest in digital transformation projects that include more than three iOS apps over a multi-year period.
Digital transformation, iOS App Accelerators for rapid app development and customization, and Enterprise Design Services are the benefits from investing in IBM’s portfolio of MobileFirst for iOS apps.
Since IBM announcing its much debated partnership with Apple in July 2014, IBM has developed over 100 apps across 15 industries and delivered nearly 2,000 client engagements.
“With each IBM MobileFirst for iOS client’s success, we see the conversation shifting from wanting a single app to cultivating a broader business transformation led by mobile,” says Mahmoud Naghshineh, general manager, Apple partnership, IBM.
The Garage will tap into the world’s largest concentration of Swift developers, IBM design and iOS device expertise and consulting services. It will serve as a global development hub for iOS apps and work with existing design locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Cupertino and Toronto. IBM plans to open satellite centers in Brazil, China, Romania and more.
