Huawei unveils Intelligent Stadium solution at GITEX Global 2024

At GITEX Global 2024, Huawei introduced its Intelligent Stadium Solution during a forum focused on how AI can facilitate upgrades in smart building technology.

Huawei’s Intelligent Stadium solution is designed to enhance the digital and intelligent transformation of stadium campuses. During the event, Huawei engaged with business leaders, industry experts, and partners to explore the vast opportunities that AI presents and to discuss how digital technologies can lead industry advancement.

Liu Chao, CEO of Huawei’s Manufacturing and Large Enterprises Business Unit, delivered a keynote address emphasizing Huawei’s commitment to becoming the preferred partner for digital transformation in the Middle East’s real estate sector.

Liu Chao reaffirmed Huawei’s dedication to integrating smart technology into various industries, highlighting the company’s role in fostering intelligence in both the Middle East and globally.

Eric Li, President of Huawei’s Product Portfolio Marketing Solution Sales Department, also spoke at the forum, noting that the building industry’s digital journey is still in its infancy but holds significant potential.

“AI will usher buildings and campuses into a new era of intelligence, transforming their management and operational models,” Eric Li said.

Viga Liu, Director of Huawei’s Intelligent Campus Marketing & Solution Sales Department, shared insights on how AI is accelerating the digital and low-carbon transformation of buildings and campuses.

Viga Liu highlighted Huawei’s solutions, including the Campus Service Network and Campus Digital Platform, which have helped over 1,000 customers build digital, green, and intelligent campuses, including stadiums and commercial complexes.

Ahmad Bana, Center of Excellence Manager at Waseef, a Qatar-based asset management company, shared his company’s experience with Huawei’s Intelligent Campus Solution. Ahmad Bana noted that the solution’s flat optical fiber architecture allowed Waseef to save 80 percent on IT equipment room footprint and cabling space, enabling more intelligent network operations and flexible bandwidth upgrades while contributing to a future-proof, sustainable network.

Representatives from other key partners also contributed to the discussion. Meline EOLMEZIAN-SOULIE, Vice President of Public Safety and Strategic Partner Ecosystem at French software vendor OODA World, highlighted their collaboration with Huawei to implement real-time situation awareness through their Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platform.

Saad Afzal, Head of Solutions Architecture at Qatar-based system integrator Techno Q, discussed the value of smart building solutions based on data convergence and system integration. He emphasized how these technologies enhance energy efficiency management and operational efficiency while improving user experiences and reducing security risks.

Eric Yang, Vice President of Product and Marketing at Singapore’s Neuxnet, described how stadiums are evolving into integrated, intelligent spaces that provide enhanced experiences for spectators. Neuxnet’s solutions, including smart parking and navigation, support stadium operators in creating technologically advanced and sustainable environments.

At the conclusion of the forum, Huawei launched its Intelligent Stadium Solution, which aims to enhance security assurance, operations management, and overall spectator experiences in stadiums. Huawei plans to collaborate with partners to innovate management and service models.
