Chinese telecom network vendor Huawei introduced high IO storage PCIe SSD product for high performance computing, the ES3000 V3 series card, at SC15. The ES3000 V3 will be available in the U.S. market and globally in the first quarter of 2016.
The ES3000 V3 NVMe PCIe SSD series can improve storage IO performance to meet Big Data and virtualization needs. Moreover, it is compatible with mainstream operation systems and virtual machine systems.
Huawei said the ES3000 V3 PCIe SSD provides up to 3.2TB capacity, up to 3.2GB/s bandwidth and 800,000 IOPS performance. The company added that it is ideal for HPC customers in various industries, including finance, transportation, energy, and internet.
Huawei also announced that the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) in Poland upgraded its HPC data center with a Huawei PetaFLOPS-class supercomputer.
Recently, Huawei and Indian IT service provider Infosys jointly developed software for high-speed Wi-Fi access in stadiums.
“The software product integrates Huawei’s Agile network with our entertainment experience platform to offer high-speed Wi-Fi access and smart services for users in stadiums and exhibition centres,” Infosys said in a statement.
With rising mobile consumption and advanced digital marketing standards, internet services will need end-to-end solutions, including wireless networks and innovative services, it said.
