Huawei launches ICT converged agile gateway

Enterprise networking vendor Huawei today announced the launch of its ICT converged agile gateway.

Huawei AR3670, according to the company, is designed to assist enterprise CIOs to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) of branch networks, simplify network operations and maintenance (O&M) and improve capabilities to launch value-added services.

AR3670 uses virtualization technology to integrate information technology (IT) and communication technology (CT) resources for gateways. A single AR3670 device is equivalent to a whole branch ICT system, which reduces enterprise device purchasing requirements and O&M costs, said Huawei in a statement.

Huawei’s agile gateway implements unified control and O&M of IT and CT devices via Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)-based architecture, said Huawei.

Enterprise IT heads can remotely and automatically deploy and upgrade applications via a unified management platform to accelerate service launch and streamline network O&M at branch offices.
