Enterprise networking vendor Huawei on Monday launched its FusionServer X6800 Data Center Server and a liquid cooled version of its FusionServer E9000 blade server in the U.S. market.
Announced at the Supercomputing 2014 (SC14), which runs from November 17-20 in the U.S, Huawei FusionServer X6800 provides a broad portfolio of server nodes to meet elastic configuration needs of differentiated services for computing, storage, and I/O resources.
This apart, the X6800 is suitable for various service applications such as cloud computing, big data, and HPC applications.
Jun Xu, vice president of Marketing for Huawei Enterprise USA, said: “We will be showcasing products that meet the needs of intelligent system management and green energy efficiency for mission-critical applications such as databases, virtualization, business intelligence (BI), and HPC.”
Huawei will conduct demonstrations of the following products at SC14.
Huawei RH5885H V3 is a standard 4U 4-socket rack server that supports four Intel XeonE7-4800 v2 processors. The RH5885H V3 provides up to 60 computing cores and a memory capacity of up to 6 TB.
Huawei RH2288 V3 supports up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors. The Chinese vendor is targeting Internet, big data, cloud computing, HPC, and enterprise key applications.
