HCL signs MoU with Skill Development Corporation

HCL
HCL TalentCare, the global talent-solutions venture of HCL Corporation, on Tuesday signed an agreement with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to be accredited under the ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship (MSDE).

“The Delhi-based venture’s key objectives are to offer skill development and staffing services solutions that will provide a career launch pad for students and a ready pool of employable talent for enterprises in the IT, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and healthcare sectors,” Prem Kumar, chief mentor of HCL TalentCare, said.

“By validating our venture, the partnership will help us drive the right opportunities for our students,” he added.

As part of its roadmap for skill development, the talent-solutions arm has set a target to skill 150 million people by 2022.

One of HCL TalentCare’s prime objectives is to perform the role of a “multiplier” organisation, by engaging with the best entities on-ground who are innovative and can practice enablement and dissemination.

“Our association with HCL TalentCare is exactly in line with this objective as we gear up to bridge the skill gap in the country today,” NSDC managing director Dilip Chenoy said.
