GSK Consumer Healthcare, an associate of GlaxoSmithKline plc.of U.K., on Sunday announced the appointment of Raj Khemani as the IT lead, ISC.
Based in Gurgaon, Raj will be a member of the India leadership team of GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Raj Khemani joins GSK Consumer Healthcare from Clariant India where he was the vice president, IT, managing information security strategy, SAP processes and leveraging them for business.
Raj Khemani earlier worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb as the IT head and information security lead for Asia Pacific and Japan. Prior to this, he managed the business technology processes at pharmaceutical major Pfize. Raj also had stints with software major Microsoft in the capacity of technical lead and pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy as project lead.
GSK is the producer of health products Horlicks and Boost. It has manufacturing plants in Nabha, Rajahmundry and Sonepat. In India, the company has over 4,000 employees. GSK markets and distributes health products such as Eno, Crocin, Iodex and Sensodyne. Its marketing and distribution network comprises over 700 distributors and a direct coverage of over 8 lakh retail outlets.
