GoDaddy hires Microsoft veteran Arne Josefsberg as CIO

GoDaddy has hired Microsoft veteran Arne Josefsberg as its Chief Information Officer (CIO) with immediate effect.

As GoDaddy’s new executive vice president, chief infrastructure officer and CIO, Josefsberg will oversee the cloud infrastructure and information systems.

He has expertise in building scalable cloud computing environments, data centers, large scale operations and information technology systems.

Josefsberg, a long-time Microsoft veteran, most recently served as chief technology officer at ServiceNow, where he led technology advances and drove expansion of the company’s cloud computing strategy.

Josefsberg will work alongside former colleague Elissa Murphy, who joined GoDaddy in April as CTO.

GoDaddy employs more than 4,000 employees and over the past year hired key technology talent from companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Google, Yahoo!, eBay and AT&T.

GoDaddy has plans to expand into 60 markets and offer products and services in 30 languages by 2015.
