The worldwide enterprise wireless local area network (WLAN) market grew 7.8 percent year-over-year (YoY) in the third quarter of 2025 (3Q25), reaching $2.7 billion, IDC report said.

Enterprise WLAN market rose 13.2 percent in Q2-2025. The growth of the enterprise WLAN market for the first three quarters of 2025 was 10.5 percent.
Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 Drive Market Expansion
A key driver of growth in the enterprise WLAN segment is the adoption of advanced Wi-Fi standards. Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 enable up to a three-fold increase in available bandwidth in the 6 GHz band in certain regions. Wi-Fi 7 accounted for 31.1 percent of dependent access point segment revenues in 3Q25, up from 21.0 percent in the previous quarter, while Wi-Fi 6E contributed 24.5 percent, with the remainder from Wi-Fi 6.
Brandon Butler, senior research manager for Enterprise Networks at IDC, said, “Growth in the enterprise WLAN market is driven by new standards like Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E, which unlock significant new spectrum and expand enterprise use cases. Organizations are increasingly prioritizing WLAN systems that integrate with the broader networking stack, offer robust integrated security, and simplify deployment and management through AI-powered capabilities.”
Regional Performance Highlights
Regionally, the Americas saw enterprise WLAN revenues rise 6.0 percent in 3Q25. Enterprise WLAN market in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region grew 12.8 percent. Enterprise WLAN market in Asia Pacific achieved 5.6 percent growth. However, China’s Enterprise WLAN market experienced decline of 1.3 percent.
