Fujitsu, the third largest IT service provider in the world, is set to double its Indian revenue in 2013.
However, the company will not grow its India resources substantially from around 3,000.
Pallab Talukdar, CEO of Fujitsu India, said: “We will double India revenue this year though the IT market opportunities in India are subdued. We may not grow our employee base significantly this year since we almost doubled our resources last year.”
For Fujitsu India, main industry verticals are automotive, government, education and research institutes and finance.
Fujitsu India which started expanding in India since four years ago rose its Indian revenue significantly in the last 4 years. The company rely on channel partners for around 80 percent of the business.
Meanwhile, Fujitsu India introduced High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions in the country.
Fujitsu India CEO says the market size of High Performance Computing is around Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 crore, according to industry estimates. But the market is growing rapidly. HPC will be used in enterprises where lots of R&D and product innovation — for instance automobiles — is happening.
HPC can be utilized for quickly validating and exploiting research theories, in speeding up product development through computer-based modeling, and in finding competitive advantages in the market by getting a better picture of customers’ buying behavior, through rapidly analyzing multiple sources of big data.
The use of HPC is gaining widespread acceptance in the principal fields of research – where its enhanced computer processing power is suited to modeling and forecasting, in analysis, and in production applications from passenger safety through to molecular dynamics.
For instance, Fujitsu HPC Simplicity introduces significant new software stack enhancements and a simplified, web-based user experience, while a scalable file system improves innovation cycles, by enabling parallel distributed processing of large amounts of read/write transactions.
“Fujitsu HPC Simplicity brings faster, high-end computing within the reach of mid-size and growing companies. Affordable HPC from Fujitsu enable our customers to increase efficiency and effectiveness of their datacenter infrastructure considerably,” Fujitsu India CEO added.
