Former Infosys board member V Balakrishnan (Bala) has joined Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party (AAP).
After clinching power in Delhi, AAP has already started receiving more funds and members to fight for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Bala’s decision to join AAP is expected to boost AAP’s chances in Karnataka.
He resigned Infosys at a time when the software major will be looking for a new CEO in 2015. Earlier, Bala said he was not a contender for the CEO post in Infosys.
According to media reports earlier, Nandan Nilekani, former board member and CEO of Infosys, is likely to contest from Bangalore in a Congress party ticket.
Earlier, Infosys chairman N R Narayana Murthy contributed to AAP. The 18-months old party is likely to get more members from technology professionals this year.
