Extreme Networks announced the appointment of Mitel executive Wes Durow as chief marketing officer.
Wes Durow will lead the channel, field, product, and digital marketing teams, reporting to Norman Rice, chief operating officer of Extreme Networks.
Extreme Networks said Wes Durow earlier worked with companies like Mitel, Avaya, and Sonus (now Ribbon Communications).
Most recently, as CMO for Mitel, Wes Durow helped establish the company as the world’s leading provider of cloud-based solutions for communications and collaboration and enhanced its profile and reach by building channel marketing programs and establishing partnerships with Major League Baseball and English Premier League teams.
Prior to Mitel, Wes Durow held marketing leadership roles with Sonus Networks and Fonality. He also served as vice president of Global Marketing for Avaya, where he guided all marketing initiatives following their 2009 acquisition of Nortel’s enterprise division.
