EMC to train teachers from over 350 polytechnics in Tamil Nadu

Enterprise storage vendor EMC will provide the technical expertise for training teachers from over 350 polytechnics in Tamil Nadu on the newly introduced Information storage management courses in Polytechnic institutes.

The training program will be implemented at zero cost by EMC, ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu and DOTE, Government of Tamil Nadu.

EMC said the faculty training will be completed over a period of 2 months and is expected to benefit around 20,000 students in 480+ Polytechnic colleges in the state.

The aim of this initiative is to impart ICT education to students, make them industry-ready and help them compete effectively.

Krishna Kant, head, EMC Academic Alliance – South Asia & Russia said, “Due to digital information explosion, storage, management and protection of data become important. The new courses will help students to build the foundation skills needed for efficient information storage management.”
