EMC has appointed Praveen Sahai as vice president of Channels for EMC India and SAARC region.
Praveen will drive EMC’s partner strategy in the region.
He will also spearhead EMC’s distribution and systems integrators strategy, strengthening current partnerships and creating new ones to increase EMC’s footprint in the market.

The channel has worked as a prime growth engine in this market and we continue to have a determined focus on channel development. Praveen’s appointment will strengthen our commitment to the channel community as we plan for further growth in the year ahead,” said Joergen Jakobsen, vice president, Channel Operations, Asia Pacific & Japan, EMC.
The storage major has identified 2012 as the year of the channel and this appointment reinforces EMC’s commitment to the channel community.
EMC has over 200 partners in India spread across over 40 cities. The company has three channel only products including EMC VNXe unified storage solutions, EMC Data Domain DD160 deduplication storage system and EMC VSPEX Proven Infrastructure.
Praveen has more than 15 years of leadership experience at EMC to the role. He held various positions in sales, marketing, pre sales and corporate affairs.
Prior to this role, Praveen was director of Sales for India & SAARC at EMC’s Iomega business division.
Before joining EMC, he worked with Sun Microsystems, and Citrix.
